When the Aardvark adapter is configured as an I 2 C master, it supports both inter-bit and inter-byte slave clock-stretching. The Aardvark adapter resets its own I 2 C interface when a timeout is observed and no further action is taken on the bus. It is possible to read zero bytes from the slave. As a result, this Aardvark adapter has automatically switched to slave mode and is responding. Three signals are shared by all devices on the SPI bus:
